Greetings, CTY alum!

We need your help to welcome over 3,900 new and returning CTYers to our 2023 summer On-Campus Program sites.

You can use the "record video" button to share a brief - 20-second - message to say 'good luck/have fun/learn a lot/etc.'

Or you can send a photo of yourself with a message to ctyalumni@jhu.edu.

Please share your submission by Tuesday, May 23, and we will compile all the messages we receive into a video to share with this summer's CTYers.

Recording Tips:
  • Make sure to film or photograph horizontally and at eye-level so you fill the frame.
  • When recording with a phone or tablet, prop it up and try not to hold it to reduce camera shake.
  • For recording a video, keep your device close for good sound quality but far enough away (2-3 feet) that you are the focus.
  • Make sure you are in a well-lit space or facing a light source. And heading outdoors for natural light and backdrops can work well too.
Video Content Tips:
  • Be yourself and share a message from the heart.
  • Please keep the video short and remember to have fun!
  1. Select ‘Record Video’ to begin the process
  2. Enable your webcam.
  3. Click ‘Start Recording’ and wait for the 3 second countdown.
  4. When you are finished recording, click ‘Stop Recording.’
  5. Wait for your video to upload to our servers.
  6. Click the play button to review your video. If you are not satisfied with your recording, you can click ‘Rerecord’ and try again. If you are satisfied with your recording, click ‘Submit Video’.
  7. Accept our terms and conditions to complete submission.
  1. Select ‘Record Video’ to begin the process.
  2. Click ‘Record Video’ or ‘Upload Video’. Please wait for your video to upload to our servers.
  3. Click the play button to review your video. You can rerecord or upload another video if you are not satisfied with your recording.
  4. If you are satisfied with your recording, click ‘Submit Video’ and ‘Continue’ to accept our terms and conditions and submit your video.
